07/03/2013: UoSKC Round 5 Results, Overall Results and Varsity
Congratulations to Southampton for convincingly beating Portsmouth in the Karting round of the Varsity Cup!
1st place and Pole position at Matchams went to Scott Michaels, 2nd Place to Adam Butler and 3rd to Stuart Wells. Andy Ure took the fastest Lap.
This means that the UoSK Championship 2013 was been won by Andy Ure with Adam Butler in 2nd and Stuart Wells in 3rd.
The UoSK Challenge, for non team members, was won by Chris Manbridge with Daniel Sambrook in 2nd and Mark Singleton in 3rd.

01/04/2008: Southampton Karting Team Victory
Congratulations to the Southampton Karting A-Team for taking victory at Clay Pigeon in the British Universities Karting Championship, their first victory since 2001.
The drivers competing were Dave Hodge, Stefan Scully, Dave Watts and Steve Bell who beat a field of 51 teams.
The final round of the championship is at Llandow on April 13th. |

The 27th Annual Wessex Motor Club Summer Scatter will take place on Sunday 11th May 2008.
Signing on is from 14:00 and the finish will be at the Milburys, Beauworth at 20:00. Food will be available all evening from 16:00 and the results will be announced later on in the evening.

04/04/2007: Summer Scatter 2007
Introducing the 26th Annual Summer Scatter. This year to be held on Sunday 6th May, starting at the Broadlands Road Car Park (196/427155, just off Burgess Road Traffic lights by STR), and finish at the Milbury's Public House (185/570246). The event will once again follow the tried and tested format of the previous few years.
Signing on will be from 14:30 for a 15:00 start.
As usual you will need map 185 (available at the start), and is organised by The Committee.
We would like to see as many people out as possible, past, present and possible future WMC members, although you are reminded that this is primarily a FUN event - anyone taking it too seriously will be laughed at, and probably soaked!
All this for just £5 per car! Bargain!

Many thanks to all those who came out to enjoy the sun, it seems that everyone enjoyed themselves, so a successful day all round. Good to see a new name on the trophy, even if this was due to bad luck delaying the top crews - obviously better planning is needed to take possible delays into account!
Well done to all the Beginners for getting round and not giving up, we all know how hard it can be to solve the clues when you've not seen anything like it before, and I hope that you will all be back for more in October, to experience some proper night-time rallying!

Due to an availability issue with original start/finish venue, the start and finish locations of the Funky Elephant have changed.
The new start location is Southampton Audi at 185/433 202½ in Chandlers Ford.
The new finish venue is the Ship in Bishops Sutton at 185/606½ 319¼ .
Signing on for marshals is from 1930 on Saturday 23rd April at Southampton Audi. Competitors will be advised of all changes and times in the finals sent to them in the week before the event.
Please come out and marshal if you cannot compete. All marshals that stay out all night will receive a free breakfast at the finish pub. |

Entrants should submit an article, no longer than 1000 words, on the subject of Road Safety, a topic high on the agendas of government, media and the motoring industry. The winner of each age category will have his/her article published in The Daily Telegraph Motoring Section and on the leading website motoring.telegraph.co.uk. In addition, the first prize winner will win a prize worth up to £1000 courtesy of Lex Vehicle Leasing, and a day at Sisley Kart School at Buckmore Park, with a practice session and an entry into a full-blown championship at the picturesque outdoor circuit that has been developed in recent years to offer some of the best facilities in the world.
