Funky Elephant 20/20 Rally - 24/25 April 2010

Wessex and Southsea Motor clubs would like to thank all those who turned out to make the 2010 Funky Elephant a successful event. It was excellent to see an almost full entry for our first attempt at the 20/20 format, and to have it fully marshalled. After a five year break, it was good to get night rallying back in Hampshire, and with the resurgence of other events appearing, could lead to a proper return to Southern lanes.

From the feedback we have received, it appears that most people were happy with the route and general organisation, however we made the navigation too difficult for some of the mid-field runners, and this is reflected in the results. As always, it is a challenge to set the level appropriate for all levels of competitor, and we will work to get a better arrangement for our next event.
